Ways Your ADSTRA Dental Software Can Make You Money

As a dentist, you strive to provide the highest quality of care to your patients. By doing so, you will increase their trust level in you and in your practice – which will help your practice thrive in the long run. Of course, while providing such a high level of care to your patients – you’ll also want to maximize the revenue coming in to your dental practice.

Let’s explore how ADSTRA Dental Software can help your practice increase office efficiency and overall revenue.

Ways Your ADSTRA Dental Software Can Make You Money

Make cancellations work in your favour

Unfortunately, cancellations are inevitable. However – there is a way to make them work in your favour: by having a contact list of stand-by patients, which you can organize by type of treatment required or block of time needed. These patients can be contacted in priority order, in hopes to fill the cancellation spots on your schedule as quickly as possible.

It’s simple – more appointments means an increased revenue coming in to your dental practice, which is the ultimate goal.

Instantly communicate with your patients

With ADSTRA SMS, you can save your front desk staff’s time and energy from having to confirm your patient’s dental appointments by telephone. By sending automatic text messages to your patients, either single patients or groups of patients all at once, you’ll be able to get in instant contact with your patients and hopefully fill the schedule gaps in your calendar.

When your patients confirm their appointments via text message, the scheduler within ADSTRA Management will be automatically updated, eliminating the need for multiple phone call confirmations.

Grow your practice and increase revenue with reports

The countless number of different reports that can be generated within ADSTRA Management are another way you can not only grow your dental practice, but also increase the revenue coming in. By pulling these different reports you will be able to see which procedures generate the most profit, and thus focus your energy on acquiring patients that require these procedures.

There is always room for improvement in one’s business workflow. You can generate reports that can help you identify which areas of your dental practice need improvement, for example – pull a report in which you compare each providers production. See the profit coming from each provider, and use that information to implement best practices throughout the whole dental office.

You’ve invested time, energy, and resources in your dental software – now let it help grow your practice, and maximize the revenue coming in to your dental practice.

ADSTRA SMS Offers Seamless Appointment Integration

Any office administrator in a dental practice will tell you that one of the most time-consuming tasks is hunting down patients to confirm their appointments. There is a lot of time spent calling out to patients and ultimately not even reaching them. This results in leaving voicemails which are left unanswered for weeks on end. In turn, even more time is then spent on the phone trying to ensure that the calendars for each dental practitioner are filled to optimize each time slot, bringing in the most money to the practice as possible.

Now though, there is another way to confirm the dental appointments with your patients without wasting all of that valuable time; time that could be otherwise spent bringing in additional revenue to your dental practice.

By contacting patients via SMS text message directly on their cell phones, your dental practice will be able to reduce no-shows and cancellations. Not only can you set it up so that the SMS text messages are sent out automatically to confirm appointments, but these appointments will then be updated within your ADSTRA Management calendar automatically, according to the patient’s response.

With the seamless appointment integration, each practitioners calendar within ADSTRA Management will be automatically updated dependant on the patients’ response to the ADSTRA SMS text messages confirmation/reminder.

One of the ways to ensure your dental clinic is offering the best patient experience is by ensuring that there is a fast check-in and check-out process. By doing so, you showcase that you value your patients’ time, and they will notice this. If your patients are walking into your office, or leaving a treatment room, only to be left waiting at the front desk for your administration staff to finish their phone call – this can prove frustrating. Having ADSTRA SMS send out the SMS text messages automatically, your patients will be greeted by a friendly face, someone ready to assist with their checking-in or checking-out, when they approach the front desk. This will not only speed up their check-in and check-out process, but will also help your patients to feel more welcome in your office.

Let’s not forget – a happy patient can be one of the greatest assets to your dental practice. Knowing both you and your staff with all you have to offer, your patients can become great advocates for your practice when talking to their friends and family. Patient referrals are one of the best ways to generate new patients. By offering appointment confirmation via SMS text message through ADSTRA SMS – your patients will be impressed and excited to share their experience of easily confirming their appointments.

The automation of sending appointment reminders and confirmations via SMS text message will also free up more time for your administration staff to: follow-up with patients who have outstanding treatments, reach out to potential new customers, and perform other practice building tasks.

Gone are the days of wasting countless hours on the phone confirming appointments for your dental practice – let ADSTRA SMS do the work for you.

A Surprising Usage of SMS Text Messaging

The other day, while on my way to grab some lunch – I received a text message from a friend of mine. She was meeting up with a few other friends at a local café, and invited me to join. What perfect timing! As we were enjoying the sunshine on the patio, my phone rang. I looked down and saw an unfamiliar number, so of course I declined the call. The last thing I needed was to take another marketing call and interrupt our lunch; we have voicemail for a reason, right?

Man Smiling While Looking At His Cell Phone

Technology is everywhere we look nowadays. Our cell phones are often not further than an arm’s reach at any given time. They are our main form of communication whether making calls or sending messages, and our cell phones are full of apps for ordering food, checking our bank account balances, tracking our fitness journeys – and everything in between.

There is an app or a function on our cell phones for everything, it seems.

While these apps and cell phone functions make our everyday lives more convenient, they are benefiting companies and businesses as well. For example, our preferred banking apps offer the ability to perform routine transactions easily, which is allowing the bank’s staff to have more time to devote to more complex transactions, or even bring in new customers.

Whenever a new app or cell phone function is brought to my attention, I’m still impressed. Between accumulating points on purchases, paying my bills online, and even those friendly reminders that I need to visit the gym again – technology is advancing, and it only makes sense to keep up with it.

Over lunch, my friends and I discussed all of these new apps and cell phone features, even reminiscing about how easy it was to communicate when we were younger and in school. In class, we could easily send SMS text messages to each other without our teacher knowing. Now that we’re older – we find that SMS text messaging is one of our main forms of communication.

Whether we’re taking a midday break at the office to send our loved ones a message, or even arranging plans to meet friends for dinner (or last minute lunches!) – SMS text messaging is an easier way to communicate than making an actual phone call, and has become a vital part of our every day lives.

The next day was like any other day, except I had that nagging feeling that I was forgetting something. While at work, my phone rang and once again – it was that same unknown number from the day before. Being at work, I was unable to answer so the call went to voicemail, again. A few minutes later, that’s when it clicked that I hadn’t actually checked my voicemail messages from the previous day. I dialed in and the first message was from the phone call yesterday. It was my dentist’s office calling to remind me that I had an appointment scheduled for the next morning. The second message was left from the call I had just been unable to answer. Again, it was my dentist’s office leaving me a message – this time to let me know I had missed my appointment altogether.

I knew that I was forgetting something that morning!

Two phones calls and two voicemails later – I had still missed my appointment. I so easily respond to multiple SMS text messages throughout the day – yet it didn’t dawn on me to check my voicemail once. Not only had I missed my appointment, but the staff at my dentist’s office had spent time on the phone, calling me and leaving voicemails.

Having the option to easily reply “YES” to a simple SMS text message, would have not only ensured that I showed up for my appointment, but also it would have allowed the dentist’s office staff that called me (twice!) to take care of other (more important) tasks.

Alas, I am left feeling frustrated and having to take more time out of my busy day to call back my dentist’s office and reschedule my appointment. While doing so – I mention to the pleasant voice on the other end of the call how much easier this whole process would have been had I been able to confirm my appointment via SMS text message. To my surprise, she informs me that their ADSTRA dental software has actually just released this feature and that their office will be implementing it in the next little while.

And just like that – advancements in technology, and SMS text messaging – solves another everyday problem!
